This course introduces learners to the essential concepts, tools, and practices involved in developing modern mobile applications. It focuses on building practical skills through structured, hands on activities that guide participants from fundamental programming concepts to the creation of fully functional mobile apps. Learners will explore mobile app architectures, user interface design, data handling, and the integration of common device features. No prior experience is required. This course is suitable for complete beginners. Basic knowledge of JavaScript may be helpful.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

Provide learners with the foundational knowledge and practical skills required to design, develop, and deploy simple mobile applications through guided, hands on learning.

\u25cf\u00a0Understand the mobile app ecosystem, development tools, and project structure

\u25cf\u00a0Learn the fundamentals of mobile app programming, including variables, functions, and control structures

\u25cf\u00a0Build user interfaces using layouts, components, and visual design principles

\u25cf\u00a0Practise navigation, state management, and dynamic content creation

\u25cf\u00a0Work with lists, user inputs, gestures, and interactive app behaviour

\u25cf\u00a0Fetch and display data from APIs and manage basic error handling

\u25cf\u00a0Integrate device features such as the camera, location, and sensors

\u25cf\u00a0Gain introductory experience in deploying mobile applications on emulators and real devices<\/p><\/div><\/div>

Awarding Certificate<\/strong><\/h4><\/div>

To receive the Certificate in Mobile App Development participants must:

\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Maintain a minimum attendance of 80 percent
\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Obtain a minimum final mark of 40 percent

The final marks shall be determined through a combination of In-Course Assessments (50%) and the Final Examination (50%).<\/em>

Certificate Categories:<\/strong>

\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Distinction<\/strong>\u00a0for final marks of 75 percent or above
\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Merit<\/strong>\u00a0for final marks from 55 percent to 74 percent
\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Pass<\/strong>\u00a0for final marks from 40 percent to 54 percent

Participants who meet the attendance requirement but score below 40 percent will receive a\u00a0Letter of Participation<\/strong>.
