Course Objective

Equip beginners with the practical knowledge and skills required to design, develop, and publish responsive websites using widely used web technologies and tools.

Course Contents

● Learn the foundational concepts that underpin websites and the modern web

● Build webpages using HTML5 and enhance them with CSS3 layouts and styling

● Add interactivity with basic JavaScript and practise simple client side validation

● Gain introductory experience in using PHP and MySQL for dynamic content and data handling

● Use Bootstrap to create mobile friendly and responsive layouts with ease

● Explore WordPress and other content management systems for no code website creation

● Build confidence in debugging, testing, hosting, and publishing your own website

Awarding Certificate

To receive the Certificate in Responsive Web Development, participants must:

●      Maintain a minimum attendance of 80 percent
●      Obtain a minimum final mark of 40 percent

The final marks shall be determined through a combination of In-Course Assessments (50%) and the Final Examination (50%).

Certificate Categories:

●      Distinction for final marks of 75 percent or above
●      Merit for final marks from 55 percent to 74 percent
●      Pass for final marks from 40 percent to 54 percent

Participants who meet the attendance requirement but score below 40 percent will receive a Letter of Participation.
